Jeff Bezos, the World’s Richest Person 2020 | Part 2: The Timing of Major Events in Bezos’s Life

In the last post, I analyzed Bezos’s natal chart, with a focus on his fame and wealth. 

In this post, I will deploy predictive techniques, mainly primary directions, to predict major professional and personal events in Bezos’s life. Unless specified, the birthtime I use is 3:52 PM; In some events, I will also calculate for the 11:33 AM birth and point out why this birthtime is not correct.

About Primary Direction

The primary direction is one of the most ancient and renowned predictive techniques in Western astrology. It is a method based on the primary motion, i.e. Earth’s axial rotation. From the observation on the Earth, the sky appears rotating, including planets and the zodiac.

Usually, the primary direction can only be used with very accurate birthtime, otherwise, it will lead to significant errors in the prediction of timing.

Marriage and Divorce

According to records, Bezos met MacKenzie Tuttle in 1992. They married on September 4, 1993. Under the 3:52 PM birth, we have the following primary directions:

• The Venus of direction in mundo is in conjunction with the natal Mars. This is a typical direction for romance and marriage engagements. The arc of this direction is 28.749. With the solar elliptical arc, this direction happened in Apr 1992, which should be around the time when Bezos met MacKenzie. 
• The Mercury of direction in mundo is in parallel with the natal Sun. Note that Mercury is the lord of Ascendant and in partile conjunction with the Descendant, and the Sun is in 7th house, the house of marriage. The arc of this direction is 28.749. With the solar elliptical arc, this direction happened in Oct 1993, which should represent the marriage (time orb < 1 month).

In contrast, if Bezos were born at 11:33 AM, then we have Saturn conversely directed to Sun in early 1992 and Sun directed to Saturn in late 19933, both of which deny romance or marriage. 

In Jan 2019, Bezos and his wife announced the intention to divorce after a “long period” of separation, and the divorce was finalized in April 2019. Under the 3:52 PM birth, we have the following primary directions:

• The body of Saturn is directed to the Descendant in late 2018. This is a typical direction for breakup and divorce. Note that Bezos had a  “‘long period’ of separation”, which should happen earlier than the announcement.
• The body of Moon is conversely directed to the body of Saturn in March 2019, another typical direction of divorce.

In contrast, if Bezos were born at 11:33 AM, we don’t have these unpleasant directions.

The Founding and Listing of Amazon

Amazon was “born” on July 5, 1994. The online bookstore was quite an innovative idea at that time, and I am not surprised to find Uranus was very active in primary directions during that year, including:

• Jupiter directed to the opposition of Uranus in mundo;
• Uranus conversely directed to be in sextile of Moon in mundo; and
• Jupiter conversely directed to trine Uranus in mundo.

When Amazon went public in May 1997, when the Uranus conversely directed to trine Ascendant in mundo. Later that year, the greater benefic Jupiter directed in sextile to the MC in zodiac, signifying Bezos’s professional success.

Becoming the richest person in the world

According to Wikipedia:

On July 27, 2017, Bezos momentarily became the world’s wealthiest person … His wealth surpassed $100 billion for the first time on November 24, 2017, and he was formally designated the wealthiest person in the world by Forbes on March 6, 2018, with a net worth of $112 billion.

In terms of primary direction, a well-trained astrologer can easily spot by intuition that the Sun conversely directed to the MC in mid-2017. This is a very strong direction – once it happens in a native’s life, it can be one of the most important events in the native’s life. Here we have the Sun, with the highest visibility, coming to the highest point. Bezos is also the person with the highest net worth!

The timing is striking from an astrological perspective. Although I don’t need other indications to confirm, there are other minor directions after the above one further increasing Bezos’s wealth, including Jupiter’s trine to the Ascendant and Sun’s trine to the MC.

Conclusion

The primary direction is one of the most powerful tools in astrological forecasting. By observing the primary directions for Bezos’s marriage and divorce, we can confirm Bezos’s correct birthtime. Although in the natal analysis I extensively use Hellenistic techniques, in which modern planets are not used, I can clearly observe the symbolic meaning of Uranus in the directions related to Amazon. Finally, the symbolic meaning of the Sun at MC is striking – it signifies Bezos’s unmatched wealth.
